Date : GMT 2003-07-09, 15:35:18 DST=0 From : dan at yahoo.com Message:- hello. i found a bug in your program. this bug happens when you lock the keypad and then start using mytools. if you enter the task list or the status interface, the phone freezes since the keypads are locked and the only way to navigate the interface is by using the action button. i've found that the only way to get out of this lock is to remove the battery. although it really doesn't hurt the phone (i certainly hope i'm right about that :)), it's cumbersome to keep removing the battery when i accidentally activate mytools while my phone is in my pocket.
i think you should add an error chacking function in the program that makes the program check whether the keypad is locked before activating mytools. i hope this helps :)

However, I mistakenly unchecked both key selection set 1 and 2 for the mytools pop-up in the software's option. So, I locked myself out of the service. Even though I un-installed and re-installed it., the problem is still there.
Can you help me on this problem?
There is what I may consider as a bug the may need a fix from you. When it was still running fine, and before the above mentioned problem occurred, there is a minor conflict between the software and my phone.
The phone is Motorola MPX 220 with a built in Windows smartphone 2003 SE. The conflict is that "My Tools" pops up automatically when I flip open my phone to receive incoming calls. As a result, my phone won't answer call automatically, and make me to press "Accept" key to receive call. By default, a flip phone should answer call when flipped open.
Date : GMT 2005-07-25, 07:02:59 DST=0 From : Stephen Yuen at yahoo.com Message:- Dear Micro Cheng,
Thank you for your information to re-install the program. I get the program working again.......sort of.
However, the same conflict with Motorola MPX220 is still there. You said it is tested OK, but that is not in my case. Please let me know when you get the fix for it.
My theory is that the MPX220 must make the flip-open to activate the Talk key to answer incoming calls. It sounds like your MyTools takes precedent to use the Talk key, so the flip-open can't turn on to Talk. What do you think?
Now, I have to uncheck the "Use Home/Talk Key Activation" to avoid the pop-up when flip open my phone to receive incoming calls. It is too bad that I loss that convenient access key.
Hope you will get it fixed and let us know.
Thank you very much. Stephen Yuen

Date : GMT 2005-08-15, 13:14:03 DST=0 From : Marcus Giessen at gmx.net Message:- Hi, Micro Cheng (and Stephen),
I have figured out the same problem on two MPx220, the one of my girlfriend, and mine.
If one switch on "Flip Answer" so that you accept a call by opening the MPx220, the call is established, the small windows which appears when you press the green button (first selection: Close task) is open, and the MPx requests to accept an already established connection by pressing the left short cut key. During that the other party hears my ringtone.
I guess that the MPx220 sends an event similar to "green button pressed" while opening it. And this "green button event" is catched by your application, therefore the call is not accepted as a whole.
Nevertheless, if you switch off "Flip Answer", all things are fine.
I like your tools very much. If you could fix this problem, my girlfriend can use them also.
Greetings from Germany Marcus
Date : GMT 2005-08-15, 22:16:12 DST=0 From : Marcus Giessen at gmx.net Message:- Hi, Micro Cheng,
great tools, but I can confirm Stephen's MPx220 problem. I do have the same.
It is very easy to reproduce, even without "flip answer". Perhaps it could happen on each MS smartphone.
One can accept an incoming call either with the left short cut key or with the "green button". In the case that you use the green button, as usual the tools window pops up, _and_ the connection is established. Unfortunately the MPx doesn't recognize this, the screen doesn't change, and the ringtone continues to ring.
I would support Stephen's idea that the "green button pressed event" is catched too early, so that not the complete procedure is passed during establishment of the connection. Obviously opening the MPx is treated as "green button pressed".
Hope this helps a little bit in order to find a fix.
Greetings from Germany Marcus
